Levels of Analysis

Levels of analysis refer to different scales at which phenomena are studied and analyzed. There are many levels of analysis that, in the social sciences, can frequently be ordered between more micro and more macro levels.

The micro-level of analysis focuses on studying individual or small-group phenomena. Researchers may analyze individuals' behavior, attitudes, and interactions within a specific context.

The macro-level analysis involves examining phenomena at a broad societal or global level. This level examines large-scale structures, systems, and trends influencing individuals and organizations.
